thats pretty decent right???
My maxima did 14.3 stock
In all seriousness, I don't think that's a bad time but I've heard much better. Conditions?
doesn't say on the timeslip but it was about 75F wind was pretty normal, no idea about the humidity
shouldn't the s2000 be a little faster than 14.45?
how fast were u going? 110?
lmfao, no stock S2000 is trapping 110....they usually trap right around 100
actually i was trapping at 96-97 the whole night =/
Oh well, you can console yourself by enjoying the drive home.
What was your trap speed?
It will help you indicate if you could be running better times due to a shitty 60ft launch.
fatty your car is just slow.. haha it's pung
The S2000 definitely does not excel in a straight line. Better than average, but that's about it. Now if we're talking corners at speed, then you're talking upper quintile.
Put down the F&F director's cut. The S2000 is not actually a dragstrip car.
No, you should be 13.8-14.0
, but you're going to have to be a lot harsher on it than you're being now to make those numbers.
What was your 60'?
Sounds about right....most S2000s are running low 14s here at the track.
Stock S2000 guys down here in FL are running 13.9's all day with good drivers, but then again, we're at sea level.
Thats decent if your an unexperienced driver. A friend of mine has a 02 s2k thats stock and can hit 14 flat all day long, as long as its 60-70 degrees outside and the track is in decent shape. He has also been drag racing for years.
I'm sorry, but drag racing is totally fucking pointless. I don't care how fast your car can accelerate, I care whether you know how to drive it.
Pardon the Initial D reference, but I'd rather do a downhill race than a drag race any day.
It's all bout dem twisties y0.
I wouldn't have fun in a 16+ second car either. Maybe when you get something other than a piece of shit Passat?
Assuming he can drive, he's actually going to be in the mid-14s (3.6L 4Motion) or high 15s (2.0T)
But this thread is about an S2000, and I still need to see some 60' times.
Spoken by someone who's obviously never driven a fast car (under 13 seconds in a 1/4 mile). The thrill of extreme acceleration is actually pretty exciting, but there's also more to it. It's all about how the driver uses his/her driving skill down the track to bust out the fastest time possible.
I like all sorts of racing. I think you should try other types before you knock them. If you really have a 16 second Passat, then you're seriously missing out.
So how bout them awesome clutch restrictors on the S2000's.
No that sucks. Ive done 14.5 in a bone stock 13 year old 2g Talon TSI AWD
Fast is 10's or faster, I would not call a car that runs 12's or high 11s for that matter anything close to being fast by todays standards, maybe 10 years ago.
You owe me a ten second car.
