the aluminum powerbooks came out in 2003. Once the G5 power mac came out 6 months later rumors of a G5 powerbook started. that was over 2 years ago. if you keep on waiting for the latest greatest you will never get a computer.

just a heads up turkey: Make sure you're familar with the return policy of the place you're buying it from, so if something big does happen, then you can perhaps return your powerbook and get a new one.

    God damnit!

I can't wait. Can someone at least PM me with a hint as to what it is? I'm not going to wait around for a free ipod mini or some bullshit... but if they're upgrading all the processor speeds, then that's something worth waiting for.

Also, if they do upgrade everything, are the prices going to change accordingly? Ive got a budget and can't go much over what I have set aside for the PB.

one last thing... is this just for the student discount or is it for the normal store and the ADC store as well?

I don't believe the dual core PB's coming out on the 26th... seems way too early :squint:

also, i'm not finding anything else about it on the interwebs either.

Ok, i've read through like 6 other mac forums and only one of them mentioned anything close to there being a special with the student discount... and the only reason they said that is because I guess they had done it in the past.

So what I want to know is... where are you guy's getting these rumors from? I just can't seem to find anything to back them up :dunno:

Well, if it's an apple, 2 cores would give you more seeds to plant.
