umm, yeah, so i picked one up. on sale for $95.20, $104.01 after tax. not the 47.60, but it's def cheaper than everywhere i've seen online (or comparable) and i have it in my hands vs. having to wait on it being shipped

Check 3 Lowes in my area. NO go. Some were still at the full price of $109.

Yeah, still cheaper and it is definitely worth full price.

If you check the autopia thread, you will see that some people have called around and ended up getting them for around $65 after mentioning what other Lowe's were closing them out for.

Print this, see if it helps, and JRock, you may be able to get a refund on the difference.

Thanks, already have 3 of them from Autopia....:mamoru: we'll see what happens. hey a ? for you. what's the main diff between the 7424 and 7336SP? so far the most I can tell is the 7336SP comes with a sanding disc. are the counterweights different? if so, what should I pick up instead? i've glanced thru most of the threads/articles about the 7424 here and on autopia, and even looked at the porter cable website. that disc is the only difference i've found :dunno:

7336 has the 6" counterweight so it is actually smoother than the 7424 which has a 5" counterweight.

I got 2 of them for $47.60 upon bringing that receipt in. They called the store to verify it first though. They have 8 left still.

I am picking up four of these in a few hours at the local Lowe's for 47.60. I am going to keep one for myself and would be willing to let any OTers get the remaining three. I'm just trying to help those out who want them since I never would have known about it if it weren't for this thread. I will make four separate cash purchases and include receipts so that people can make returns if there is a problem (assuming you don't need to do a same store return). I think $60 each shipped should be about break even for me after tax and roughly $10 out of my pocket to ship them. Just post in this thread if anyone wants to get in on this.
