I want 3 dots, a simple triangle shape on my bicep or back, in brown.

Tattoo shops look at my arm and my back and see that I have freckles and moles, one artist at the local hot box asked "Whats the point dude?"

The point is, the triangle is one of the stongest shapes in building and engineering, each separate dot represents strength, courage and honor, things that I've learned about better over the past few years and have instilled into my life

But of the 4 shops ive visited, nobody wants to give me a price.

I guess its a shitty idea :sadwavey:, but it meant a lot to me, the brown has to do with my late great grandfather... His hat and his last 2 vehicles, his knife, his chair, all brown.

it'd be less weird if you asked for a solid brown triangle. i mean you dont really need 3 dots, do you? how about 3 corners, or 3 sides?

of course the problem is probably that the artists dont want to have their name attached to, or be responsible for drawing, something so simple. thats probably also why they dont know what kind of price to give you.

Im thinking if you roll in and are confidant in what you want it shouldnt be an issue. I could see them being more hesitant if you seem that way too.

Who fucking cares if they understand why youre doing it. Its your tattoo. As long as its physically possible and will turn out right (which..its dots..not too difficult, right?) then they should shut their mouth, turn on the machine and take your money.

If I was an artist I would do that inb a heartbeat. Easy money. Most shops minimum is 30 or 40 bucks. Expect to pay that.

they should do it, even if they think it's stupid. did you show them the drawing? i've seen people with tattoos over freckles, moles,... i'm sure it hurts, but i don't know if it's bad.

It's your tattoo! Who cares what they think at least it means something to you. That's what is most important.

most shops have a min. ive seen it anywhere from 40-75.

just walk in tell them what you want and ask for the price.

you may be coming across as unsure which is leading them to try and talk you out of it.

its your body and you have to live w. it, get what you want.

My friend got a tiny blue dot on his wrist as a memory.

$50 for a 2 minute tatt. Don't see why a shop wouldn't do it :dunno:

I'm not sure why, but if I was an artist, I don't think I'd want my name attached to a piece like that.
