I'm very afraid that it is never going to heal properly and enable me to lift heavy again :wtc:

I broke and dislocated my collar bone playing football. I went to an orthopedic and everything, who said they did not normally set the bone with pins and plates, so it had to heal overlapping.

This is what it looks like:

It overlaps by a half-inch or so.

Has anyone here ever had a similar injury and been able to continue lifting normally? IF so how long?

I can't wait until I can actually do stuff again. :x:

If my bones were like that, I don't think I would ever work my upper body. :wtc:

It forms a calcium 'calous' to fuse the bones together .. which eventually hardens into normal bone, i believe.

yep, it should return straight, you'll always feel a lump around the break though.

obviously its not as dramatic as the picture you drew.
