    My schedual goes like this:
    Monday: chest/shoulders
    Wensday: Legs
    Friday: back, bicep/tricep, cruches

10-15 mins of cardio before each workout, then 30-60mins cardio randomly throughout the week when I have time.

The point is, I walk into the gym, and just go to whatever is open. I do 3-5 sets on each machine, I change the reps and weight randomly too. I usally start with 15 reps and go down two at a time on light days, then 10-12 reps and go down 2-3 per set on heavy days. I'm seeing results simply because I'm working out and eating right, but is there something I'm missing by not doing the same thing every week?

I get, IMO, a complete workout for each body section, but it is totally random. Some chest days I'll skip barbel workouts all together and just do dumbell press/flies and maybe a few sets of pushups and shoulder raises. Somedays I'll do flat + incline bench, and other various chest/shoulder exercises.

From personal experience, stay away from machines. I wasted 2 years on that shit.

I like using machines, but I keep it about 50/50. Free weights are probably better, they work stabalizer muscles that you dont normally use, because you have to balance and control the weight more. I use both, probably always will.

don't use machines... you won't work your stabilizing muscles and you'll end up retarded like.... I'd only use machines if I'm nursing an injury.

How do you know if you're getting any stronger if you just jump around? I know when I just do deads without hang cleans, my dead numbers are higher.

If you don't know what your numbers are, don't speculate.

It's easy enough to find out.
