I have no abs -- what to do? pic for reference

    I've never worked my abs.. like ever.. sure i've done some crunches here and there, a few leg raises when i am feeling frisky..but I dont have a routine and it shows.. what do you guys recommend?

    Looks like you have some good potential. If all you're worried about abs, maybe some decline twist situps or russian twists 3x a week with weights. It'd be a fucking shame to waste such a nice frame for abs only. Dig through the archives and look for christopher's routine and look into getting an actual routine together. :hs: The potential to be broly is there.

    abs 3x a week? :hsugh: everything else gets 2x a week, so i'd probably want to keep the abs on par with that.

    chest/bi's
    back/tri's
    shoulders/legs
    off
    repeat

    I'm having the same problem, I can feel a six pack under my stomach but I got some much damn loose skin from all the weight I lost that it doesn't show up :wtc:.

    I started to see the most progress doing decline situps. I've never done the decline twists. Will those help obliques at all?

    decline weighed crunches done it for me. the only problem now is my abs grew so much that I have to stop doing abs work for a while:hsd:

    I suppose so. My obliques are pathetic, though. I have a lot of mass where my abs are, I just can't see the lines between them yet. :hs:

    Try this ab test:

    Lie on your back on the ground. Bend your knees until your feet are flat on the ground. Don't hook or anchor your feet under anything. Touch your hands on opposite shoulders. Slowly, taking five seconds at a constant pace, sit up until your elbows touch your knees. No jerking movements or arm or head throwing allowed, and your feet aren't to come off the ground. If you can't do this — you need to hit the abs first!

    that's interesting, we just learned a similar test like this in p.t. class :)

    and the best thing to do for abs are trunk curls (or i guess you all call em crunches); there's no need to flex at the hip because then you're just working the hip flexors

    I can get a perfect score on situps portion of the USMC fitness test, but I can't even do that :ugh:.
