for his business. He already has one. He needs to update it and therefor just wants a new website altogether.

I do not have experience in HTML that one would consider extensive at all, however, I am up to this challenge.

I use an Apple computer as my primary but I do have access to PC's if need be.

What are some good programs that will guide me through this process?

I would be doing it for much cheaper than any web designer would be and I want to see if I can do it. If I fail, he can always go back to a web design company.

All help and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

wait, you've never done a web site, but you're gonna charge him money?

do both of you a favor and do it for free as a learning experience

I'm not charging him. He told me he would pay me if it turns out good.

I never said anything about charging. He said, "You should try this, if it works out well, i'll pay you XXX amount of money"

I said, "Ok, i'll try it"

I already work for him. It's just basically his way of giving me an opportunity to learn but also get paid for it.

Nothing is in stone. If I can't do it and it doesn't turn out well, I dont get the money and he spends the money with a web designer.

Dude, there's nothing wrong with me attempting it. It's not built with brick and mortar. If it doesn't work out well, he can just go hire someone else.

Jesus. I didn't ask for criticism on who should do it, how I should do it, etc....I just asked for some advice on programs that would lead me in the right direction.

who gives a fuck if he's done it before or not? He wants to do it so why not post some shit that gives him some motivation instead of giving him shit?
