shuldi reduce the volume of flat bench and increase upper chest inclines or keep the volume the same for flat and just add more to incline?

OR do i just take out flat all together and just do inclines

well, i dont know for sure. i like incline flies better because i get WAYYY more range of motion. i bring my elbows down a good 12 inches or so below my chest, where as with incline press i only go down to about parallel with the ground, for safety reasons. i feel alot more resistance on my chest and i get more hypertrophy and DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness). thats me though, you'd probably want to try both and get good form on them and see what you like.

SO you get sore from only doing a fly workout? Could the doms not be from your compound movements?

What are these "safety reasons"? If it's not having a spot either ask for one or use DBs.

With that ROM you are barely touching the range that nails you chest. The part of incline/flat bench that nails your chest the hardest is the bottom half (getting it off your chest) so basically you are just doing incline bench as a tricep workout with a little bit of shoulders/chest thrown in.

YOu don't understand what I'm talking about and I don't really feel like elaborating. I'll give you a hint, have fun using more anterior delts than chest.

shoulders cant seem to take it very well, sorry again.

oh and i'd much rather use dumbbells but the dumb fucks as my gym drop them and break them so the heaviest ones are 80s, and even if they were all in good condition they only go up to 100.

I think you should just bench normally, with better form and you'll see improvement in all of your chest. Forget about the incline/decline bullshit. I'm sure your not benching a lot, it will fill in eventually.

Since there are no lower and upper abs... doesn't this apply to the pectorals too or are we talking about pec major and minor???

flies suck. rough on the shoulder joints. at least mine..
if your looking to do that motion, try lower pulley cable raises.

upper chest isnt "minor" pectorals, minor pec is underneath the major. so this would apply to the upper part of the major.

The pec major has two heads (clavicular and sternal).

On another note, there are studies which give evidence that you can target (but not isolate) the upper or lower portions of your abs.

Rotator cuff issues? I used to have a similiar problem after getting hurt playin football and I found that taking it easy for a few weeks and doing a lot of rotator cuff exersizes helped and now I'm back to normal.

Sucks about the dumbells, good gyms with decent populations and equipment seem to be hard to find.
