A&P I have an Olympus C-720 Camera and want to take a picture like this....

    How do I do that? I want the background to be blurred and focus to be on the object.

    What if I wanted to take a picture of a car? I wouldnt' use Macro Mode would I?

    To have a narrow depth of field, you want to set the aperture size as large as possible. The larger the aperture, the narrower the depth of field will be. :)

    In otherward, set it on Aperture Priority mode or Full Manual, and set your F-stop to the smallest Number.

    Oh, and a copy of a photo editing software like Photoshop won't hurt either. ;)

    How far away did you hold the camera from the flower? 1 foot? 2 feet? few inches?
