I run fine when browsing, gaming, etc.

whenever I download anything and the hosting site is decent (aka maxes out my connection) my ethernet adapter (on board) will die and i have to disable / enable it and it's back to normal.

any suggestions? I've never run across anything like this.

mobo is an asus a8n-sli premium.

I had the same problem with my marvell yukon nic card
resolved it by tweaking the driver options in the control panel/device manager

it was some overflow or something issue, increased the cards throughput and it rans smooth now'

yep, first one in what? oh, ever. But it appears to be fixed now. Messed w/ some driver settings, upped the chipset drivers to the latest as well as the bios. Seems to be fine now. I can always use the nvidia port but I'm to lazy to go switch it :hs:
