I have a shoulder injury that only effects me when I do back exercises... wtf

    Two fridays ago, I began having a pain in my left shoulder when I was doing some single arm pullthrough's on a machine, being the dumbass that I am, I kept going on that exercise, and finished the rest of my back workout. I paid for it that night and the next few days as I couldn't do shit with my left arm. I took off two days and did legs the next time I was in the gym. The tuesday after that friday, I did chest and I went pretty heavy and although I could tell something wasn't "right", I didn't feel any pain. The next day my shoulder felt normal for the first time. So, I did shoulders the next day and I was pretty cautious about what I did, I felt no pain yet again and had a solid workout. Yesterday, I did back again and on the first fucking set of my first exercise (wide grip pull-ups), I felt pain. I kept going again and finished my workout.:o I'm paying for it again and I'm back to where I was the previous week. I did some calves today and then tried to do dome biceps and couldn't even do it and had to quit.

    When I raise my arm forward, as I'm bringing it down, it hurts.. when I raise it and lower to the side, it doesn't. Any ideas what the fuck is up? Should I not even do chest on Tuesday? I hate not going to the gym, btw.

    Maybe the first one. Fuck the doctor. They're just going to take an MRI, charge me 1000 bucks for it, then tell me to take some time off.

    I go to my chiro twice a year and get the adhesion shoulder scraping done, helps break up all the scar tissue and adhesions that forms on the shoulders from pressing movements, you should get it done, night and day difference in ROM.

    my chiro does precision scar tissue work on my shoulder from time to time, you should check one out

    After my shoulder injury workouts have never been the same. Chest workouts are the worst, to much pressure and it can dislocate easily. Something I've learned to live with.

    I hurt my elbow last night doing triceps. Loud pop, major pain. I could barely straighten my arm, yet I kep lowering the weight on pull downs trying to finish my sets for the night. :rofl:

    Same with skateboarding. I broke my ankle trying this massive ten stair. Even with the broken ankle I tried a couple more times before I finally got it. :ugh:

    Not a fan of chiropractors but i felt like acupressure and acupuncture did a lot for me.

    i'd say that most injuries, if not all, are subconsciously created. People create their injuries in the gym to avoid a shitload of things. Although injuries are very much real and not delusional, it would be wise to re-evaluate your purpose.

    Yeah I agree, when people tear their pec or bicep or develop a shoulder impingement its all in their head and they're just gigantic pussies.

    You were just subconsciously creating those injuries because you were molested as a child.
