[ What makes them so superior to every other gun on the market? ]

Is it the design, or the build materials, metallurgy (or plasticurgy :hsugh: ) ?

    Just curious :dunno:

    none of the above.

its the sackriders that shot one as their first handgun and don't bother trying anything new.

It is a tried and true gun, will last a long time, ergonomic, accurate enough, and cheap. What more can you ask?

it gets a great rep from most (all?) people that have one, and law enforcement backs it, and the glock torture test helped a lot.

I find it funny that my friend said it felt way too plasticy and cheap, when he bought a remington 710 rifle.

Why is mcdonalds popular? Craft your item to sell cheaply to to the average schmo with no taste ;)

    I really want a g29 though.

except mcdonalds isnt exactly a quality meal, where the glock is a pretty quality firearm.

if they were priced around $500, I might at least give them the time of day for a comparison

First gun- Ruger P89. I've since shot a couple 1911's, HK's, Sig's. Glocks just work the best for me.

    nope.

I love my Glock 34.. there is not a single thing I would do to it to make it better..
so what would the HK have to offer me, for $400 more?

    :dunno:

what would a ruger stainless super six not offer you for $200 less? they're both reliable, yeah stainless rusts, but maybe if you're a complete idiot and leave the gun outside during the indian monsoon season...

all these statements you're making are opinionated, just like your opinion of glock being the messiah of all firearms.

what works for some people doesn't work for other.

personally, the HK USP wouldn't offer me anything else over a glock except DA/SA, which i prefer. worth $400 more? no. prefer? yes.

i intend on purchasing a G19 sooner or later so don't think i'm some close minded individual when it comes to the 2nd best import from austria besides arnold schwarzenegger. i just don't think they're worthy of the daily praise you give them.
