I am building a computer for a family member and he is getting a motherboard with 2 PCI-express slots. He was thinking about getting a 6800 but since it has 2 slots I am wondering if 2 6600GT cards would be a lot faster han just one 6800? Would it be and would this work?

2 6600s in SLI are slower than 1 6800, get one 6800 now and savu up for another.

    i think www.tomshardware.com has a review

find some benchmark. i remember seeing a a review somewhere that the 2 6600GT's are on par or leading the 6800Ultra.

6600GT is a pimp card. If you want an affordable card, get it.

the 6600 and 6800 vanilla cards are "meh". Stick with the GT+ cards.
