I want to buy a Dell Latitude using my Dell Personal line of credit but they will not allow me since it is a "business" computer. :madfawk:

Anyway, I'm looking for someone who is already in the market for a new dell computer.

You would let me know what computer/config/etc you want, pay me for it, I will order it for you, have it shipped to you, transfer the warranty to you, etc and use the money you pay me to buy the computer I want.

To make it worth your while, I am willing to take $50 off the cost of the system plus, if you pay with paypal, I will eat fees as well.

This is not a scam, I can provide all of the feedback you want. This is for WMD crew only.

I'd prefer to be paid through paypal so I can immediately purchase your computer once the funds are there.

I would probably take you up on this, but I'm only looking at a Dell Mini10 netbook. I already have a Latitude D630 sitting in front of me.

The Mini wouldn't get you very far towards your goal of buying a Latitude.

The computer would need to be at least 1000, probably. Up to 2000 or so I suppose. Whatever I have left over will just go towards my account anyway.

I'm buying a latitude out of the outlet with a 20% off coupon so it will only end up being about 900 but yeah, a mini 10 won't quite touch that :hs:

and damn, the OP is one honest son of a bitch.

    are you being audited?

  14. I think it's that they won't let him buy it. I don't think he's doing it because he's not supposed to buy a business system.

  15. That's not honorable of you. Anyways, you're just jealous. :fawk:

Meh, I need one to do iPhone development, plus developing other stuff in unix has it's advantages. Outside of work, I don't think I've really played with macs much since the Apple II days.

  17. What kind of iPhone development are you doing?

Also, I remember you said you do mobile code stuff... do you know anyone that has a RDP 6.1 program for WinCE?

Pretty much everything..... Done some college iPhone apps, working on 5/3's app, some VOIP stuff, and a bunch of other shit that falls under NDA's. Kinda/sorta neat, though I'm still not exactly loving XCode and objective-C. Not quite the most intuitive thing IMO.

Yah, we also do stuff for all the other mobile platforms, it's just that iPhone stuff is currently where the big $$ is. I actually have zero experience with Windows Mobile, and I'm not really even for sure what RDP stands for. Fill me in and I'll ask around.

no, there is just a specific system i want to buy and dell won't let me buy it (more specifically, any "business" computer) with my personal line of credit.

  23. RDP is Remote Desktop Protocol. I need a 6.1 client to take advantage of the new Server 2008 Terminal Services. I just figured I'd ask.
