    and i really haven't worked as hard for this sucker as i could have. but i know my opponent. he goes to our "gym", he's pretty much scared shitless and i told him if he and i fought i wanted to see his aggression arise, and that i wouldn't let him just quit out. the guy has tools, but is afraid to use them.

    btw, my main plan for this fight is to be the agressor and force him to think quickly. it's more of a learning experience for the guy than anything. anyone have any suggestions as to what i should tell him to help him out during the fight? i want the guy to do well and feel confident about his growing ability.

    Fight hard enough to beat him up most peoples anxiety about fighting is not being able to take a beating. Get smacked around the head abit escape some sub attempts when the heat is on will give him plenty of confidence.

    Be sure to win though :)

    Sounds like you got a pretty good start... I always like to whisper sweet nothings in their ear from the side mount.

    fuck that, stomp his face in. it's a fight, not daycare. you're not there to help him learn and grow as a person, you're there to win. if you're not first you're last son!

    got back from the fight.....

    here's the breakdown; 2 2minute rounds (no elbows/knees)
    first round;
    i took about 5 seconds to feel his tempo out, then i brought it to him, threw a few low and high kicks, even tried a superman punch. he shot in, took him to a guillotine, but couldn't close it all the way.....worked for an armbar, but he escaped and took side. i then worked my legs out and got into standard wrestling stance with him. he then shot in again but i was able to spin and take back. he rolled out and i ended up in his mount. reigned down punches until the end of the round.

    second round;
    started off good, threw some good punches and knocked him down, i went in and tried to finish, he was able to defend and took a half guard, and (i don't even understand how this happened) was able to roll me so he was in mount. :dunno:. then he threw punches, i rolled him and ended up in the weird position where i was kneeling on one side of his body with control of his arm and my outside leg going over his throat, but by that point we were out of bounds, so we started in the middle with the same position. i then tried to spin and get an armbar yet failed. he then had side control again, i was able to get a kimura in but the time ran out and i was pissed, i could've finished it with just 10 more seconds.

    so it went to the judge/ref

    he called it right down the line as a tie.

    :wtc:

    it was an awesome fight, towards the end he was throwing some really wild but fast punches that made me cover for a bit.

    we don't allow video/pics to be taken during fight for some reason, something to do with the legislature on MMA in Pennsylvania or so i think. :hs:
