It's a good thing, too. Cameras older than a year are basically worthless.

I dunno Ben... Everywhere else in the universe is predicting we won't see a 'x', but will get an 's' model with video, just like the d300...

I'm not really sure either one will help drop d700 prices though... Would you dump your 700 for either of em?

I'm gonna have one, possibly 2 by the end of the year... Got the wife's approval yesterday.

If this helps knock the price down, i'm all for that. I just don't see a lot of people making the jump to either of the replacements...

I know plenty of Sony shooters.

Hell I spent Saturday with 3 of them. All of them have 700 and 900's.

Wanna see a cool as fuck lens? Go look up the STF:eek3:.

STF is actually a dual aperture lens. It's manual focus as well. But basically it's got 2 sets of blades in it, one set is a constant 2.8 and the other is actually adjustable via a ring on the lens. This ends up giving you a variable aperture of whatever setting, but the DOF of a 2.8:eek3:.

I am almost positive it's a Zeiss lens as well:o.

They look and feel odd. Not that they don't make good products, like you said, I just prefer nikon ergonomics.

Get the 200 f2 yet? :squint:
