I've been benching on the smith machine for the last 6 months due to being a huge pussy.

Yesterday I got on a real bench.

Fuck, that feels so much better. Woke up nice and sore.

It was my only pussy lift. No more. No more.:fawk:

I always counted it as 45, but felt dirty doing it. Now I know why.

I feel in more danger on a smith machine than a regular bench... on a regular bench if I feel it failing with no spotter I can just push the BB down to my stomach... on a smith machine you're gonna get pinned no question.

Yeah, all the way at the bottom... Well, you can also turn the hooks and latch it on the way down but chances are if something is seriously wrong, it's going to go all the way down.

I saw some guy doing it one day, thought the same. It's a odd angle but it hit's your tri's really good, I used maybe 25lb'ers on each side.

I've never seen anyone mention them on any boards, but they do work.

yah, on the side there should be a mount that hooks to prevent the bar dropping past whatever point you decide

Idid it once, when I was training to see if I could hit 40 reps of 225. Felt good, no indication that I was going to fail at 28. Went down again.....nothing. had to roll to my stomach. My enitre rib/stomach hurt like hell the next day.
