How are they? It's the Sporter II model. 20" barrel with 1-7" twist.

I always thought that with that rear sight in the carry handle it was still an A1?

Nice Rifle. The uncle mike assualt weapon cases are pretty good. I use one for my AR. Pretty soon I'll be moving to a tacforce double rifle case.

Would look cool with a triangle hand guard. Make it kind of vietnamish

    And it's adjustable for elevation.

And the windage&elevation adjustments have knurled knobs, no need to use a tool to turn a disk to adjust them.

A2 sights are better for target shooting, A1 better for "set and forget"

I have one, I love it but the people standing next to you when you pull the trigger lol the concussion of it firing isn't what you expect from a 223.

The rifle isnt mine. I'm just baby sitting it until next week.

An A1 receiver is a fixed carry handle without the elevation wheel for the rear sight.
An A2 receiver is a fixed carry handle WITH the elevation wheel for the rear sight.

    What should I expect?

Yep... I have a recommendation. Keep your firearms on "safe" until you have verified your target + what's behind it, have your muzzle pointed on said target, and are ready to fire. :o :hs:

Can't put an AR on SAFE unless the hammer is cocked.

Just a birdcage flash hider on that thing. If it had a muzzle brake (aka flash enhancer), it would be ungodly loud for anyone not directly behind the shooter.
