i have a cardio type question

    this is probably retarded, but I always thought about it...

    What if every hour of the day, maybe for like 8-9 hours, you get your heart racing by sprinting or whatever you can do to get it pumping.. and you do this for like, just a minute

    Would this yield any benefits burning fat?

    You'd burn some but not as much as you would with a prolonged workout, keeping your heart rate up for an extended period of time.

    im talking for an in between workouts type thing... still keeping a reg cardio workout, plus adding this every hour thing.. or would that be overkill

    I don't think it would do that much for you to be honest... How often are you doing cardio? If it's 2-3 times/week for an extended period, you should be good to go.

    i do it like 4-5 for about 20 mins after my workout

    Haha I'm picturing you working hard in your cube then just flipping out and sprinting down the hallway like 50 times a day!

    I'm thinking a prolonged workout would be better for fat burning but who knows?
