    What should I buy?

    Pics and links much needed.

    I currently have a Glock 19.

Now I am looking to get a second gun.

    Help.

Its locked in the safe at my parents house in the Burbs.

It sucks I know, But I get to shoot all the time on the weekends when I go back home.

I have a legal retainer at all times, so that is not a problem. But considering I am not breaking any laws I dont see why I would need one.

I was asking this to see what seems to be popular at the moment. Considering there are hundreds of guns I have tried over time I was hoping for some general direction. Mega sports in Plainfield where I shoot often has a large selection and I would have to shoot over 300 different if I wanted. Considering that this would be a pain I dont think so.

I was looking for real insight, so save your "Dur Hur joo live in Chicago LOL" comments please. And I would prefer not another rifle because I already have a 30 ought 6 and a 12 guage.

Maybe I should have given more info in the first post. But whatever.

I was interested in something in a .45 caliber. I tried Kimber and liked it. Does anyone know of any good deals? I have looked at gun broker to no avail. :hs:

And I would expect a better answer from a mod.

How about a Kimber Custom TLE II? If you're interested send me a PM, I've got a line on one. Otherwise you can check the classifieds on Glocktalk or AR15.com. But yeah 1911's are extremely fun to shoot you're on the right track there.

Wow, I recently shot that same Kimber. Except I think it was a TLE RL II

Probably the same though. I really liked it. How much do you think you will get it for. Maybe this will help me see where the haggle room is with the dealer. :bigthumb:

The RL is the version with the half-rail on the dust cover. But used the TLE II should go about $700 shipped, and I have no clue what they go for new ( I would guess around $900-1000).

my friend's TLE II RL was like $850-900 if i remember correctly. might've even been closer to $800. you can snag one up, that's for sure.

I tried one of the cheaper models and it was pretty sloppy.

    You can get a non-"sloppy" 1911 for $800.
