edit: I have $500 to spend on a PDA; i need advice and oppinions... PLEASE ;-)

    1. I want it for organiztional uses; so mobile MS Office is a must....
    2. I want it for using MP3's (THIS IS A MUST) I wanted to get an MP3 player but it just seems more practical to get a PDA/MP3 player all in one!! Also, the price of 250 here does NOT include teh extra Memory I'm sure i'll need for using the MP3 capabilities.
    3. Wireless Connectivity would of course be a HUGE plus, ie; 802.11b ;)
    4. Long lasting batterly life is also a plus (8hrs seems to be the norm here.)

    PLEASE HELP! :)

Only Dells Axim X3i has built in Wireless... I would prolly go for the iPaq 2210. Of the 10-15 Pocket PC's I have used, I like it the best. It also has better battery life than any other iPaq I have tested...

edit: i've decided that i'm gonna have to up the ante' for what i really want here... so i'm now looking at the HP iPAQ H4155. Anyone have any good/bad experiences with it?

My other main issue is that I can't really decide between Windows based and Palm Based; any oppinions?

4155/4150 would be great if money wasnt a factor. Great form factor. Integrated Wireless and BT. SDIO slot. Pretty good battery life on the one I've played with (although wireless eats the battery pretty quickly as expected). That would be the one I'd go with...

You can download games. Most of the good ones you have to pay for. A friend of mine just got Tiger wood's links on his IPaq, and its not bad at all. I think he downloaded it from download.com.

You can get a whole bunch of emulators (NES, SNES) for it. I've used PDAs for 3 years now and I can't get enough :o

There are tons of software titles that you can use. Just search around for stuff. Any PPC program made for ARM Based units will work fine. As long as it is compatible with PPC 2k3 which most are. A good PPC software site to browse is www.handango.com

A few others with reviews and Boards and such...

Feel free to shoot me a PM or IM me if ya have any questions. I get bored at work suppporting these damn things anyways... :big grin:

Hmm, i'm in the same situation. I need a new pda.

Stuck between the Sony UX50 or the HP 4150/4155. Thing is the Sony is $1000 and the HP is only $599, however the Sony can be compatible with my memory sticks and has a built in keyboard. The HP one COULD come with a built in keyboard but that model is $50-70 more and also looks hideous imo.

Not sure what to do. Hmm....prices Canadian.
