Any reccomendations will be appreciated.
I'll be using it to run Ableton Live primarily by the way.
i really like my macbook
I am. Don't know if I'm ready for the switch though.
You can run Windows on the new Macbooks.
Been out of the loop for a while, eh?
I think this deal in yardsale is decent if you'll use the media capability: http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=2973929
I knew that, but it seems like a hassle. In any case, I bought a Lenovo today.
Don't put any DoD data on it...
I feel Macs are a little over priced.
I would recommend looking into a new HP. They're really nice.
Macs have design features that nobody else offers. Coming up with those ideas, and sourcing the parts for them, costs money. You get what you pay for.
I probably would've got a Macbook if I wasn't so used to Windows.
Good job on not getting an Apple.
Y'know, I just realized, the new Macintels kinda make the "Mac Shack" forum obsolete, don't they? Or maybe it should be called "overpriced accessories" now? No, wait, there's already a "Gizmos & Gadgets" forum...
i've been looking around at laptops lately. it looks like the HP's give the most bang for the buck, i wouldn't go with HP if you want the fastest though, although you can get a pretty good laptop.
i had used windows for years. i still bought a macbook 2 months ago when i needed to by a laptop. i don't regret my decision at all
Fujitsu gives much more value than HP does. Check out their lineup.
