and everyone else that has ever encouraged me to detail my car.

I spent like 5 hours on my grand prix on the weekend. Clayed it. Hit it with some #82 SFP, then some S100 SEPC, then a layer of #16 pro past wax, then a layer of S100 paste wax.

The shiny and colour looked GREAT! Then I cried because you could really see the orange peel. I got over it. Went to work on monday and a dust storm covered my car. It rained this morning on the way to work. Came out to my car tonight to see it basically covered in a mud...

Washed it now that I'm home from work, and I can see the orange peel again.

And now because I've seen Scott's pics and everyone else's... I want to strip and re-paint my entire car. I blame you guys :hs:

Just a wash and QD should get you right back where you were after the detail. Only wetsanding will get rid of the orange peel though.

I just redid my car last week after all the time I already put into it over about 9 months....just to get probably 5% closer to perfection!

I also have a scratch on my hood (that i'm positive is from an employee on the day he was fired) that is through the clear coat :(

But I will have to say I love the way my car looks now that you have me using something better than Mother's 3 step system. And I've found a place (SMP) that hase VM and EX-P and will ship by regular mail to canada. We're getting together a group order from work :bigthumb:

    Hey, where do you work?

I work at General Dynamics in London.
Whats the source that you found?

I've found a bunch of meguiras stuff at Car Quest on first street. They seem to have quite a few good products.

    Will.

(PS, did you go to western?)

I work for GD as well :big grin:

    The source is http://www.specialtymotoring.com/
My boss and I are doing a group buy. Probably next week. And I called Car Quest, but they don't stock #80 even in the warehouse. The UAP NAPA store on Oxford (beside the closest Tim Hortons to work) ordered my #82 SFP and my #16 Pro Paste Wax. I'm thinking about ordering some #80 Speed Glaze through them.

And yes, I did go to western. ;)
