apple actually stated that the 1st gen wont support it even when AT&T enables it on their part.

    Quote on that?

1st gen will not support tethering due to it not being 3g, but have not seen anything that said it wont support MMS.

How long have you had your first gen Iphone?

    Time to upgrade, homeboy.

Shouldn't you be up for an upgrade anyway?

AT&T network is going to take a massive dump when they allow the iPhone to do MMS... it's having a tough enough time dealing with the iPhone user's bandwidth as it is.

I'm not having any problems with bandwidth. The only issues AT&T has is upon initial release when half the world is trying to activate their new iPhones. After that, it's smooth sailing. I doubt MMS use would bring AT&T to its knees. If anything, it would be the iPhone's faster browsing capabilities that would make people use up more bandwidth.
