a gay guy is stereotypical, but thinks he is so unique
I mean seriously, you go to a club and your shirt is off in 5 minutes
you go home with a new guy every weekend
cheat on every boyfriend, but talk about how loyal you are
feminine as hell but you are "straight acting"
i could rant for pages about the hypocritical stuff
just be honest with yourself, cuz everyone else already knows
    really
who cares if your typical, just admit it
I wont hate you for it, hell i was friends with you and i knew who you were
you just need to figure it out for yourself
    ok
    /rant
    sorry
its just hard to have gay friends sometimes

    Preach on sista!

My boss is the most hypocritical person I've ever met in my life..
'Do as I say, not as I do' kinda person...

Expects nothing but the best of all of us, when her second best is good enough for her

I have the most ghetto fabulous - gayest of gay friends. He's "so sick" of the drama he deals with..
Yet he is the cause of 98% of it. :gfight:

Although not only gay guys do this it just seems to occur more haha.

i met a "unique" guy once. "don't judge me, don't stereotype me" etc etc. yeah, we met and his head was shaved cuz it made his drag wig more comfortable and he was wearing eye makup and called himself "the diva." yikes, lol.

LOL... I think that I might fall into this category, tho. I honestly don't see myself as either stereotypical or flaming. But everyone says that I'm the gayest thing to walk the earth, and that my flame is all-consuming. I don't know...but I've come to realize that I also don't care.

I still like to think of myself as my own special creation, tho; I just don't dwell on it if others disagree.

omg speaking of bosses, totally off my topic, but he said bush will go down as the greatest president in history :ugh:
my only comment was to say that since he is penciled in as the worst president in history, he is going to have a long hard road to go to fix that

    but yeah

that is exactly what im referring to
I hate drama..... WELL STOP CAUSING IT lol
i really wish i could talk frank with people instead of holding back because i know they cant handle it

thats the one thing that worries me, is that I am not practicing what I preach
I gotta be really careful and watch how I act and make sure im not judging others before I do something that I say I hate

now thats just funny right there :p

    ok
    if your flame burns bright
    Let it
haha im not saying dont be yourself
just dont lie to yourself and others lol
I love seeing a gay guy that is totally comfortable with himself
it almost makes me want to turn the flame up a bit lol
I just hate it when they try to pretend to be something else
idk, i dint make the thread to insult anyone for the way they live, just to remind everyone to be honest with themselves (and to vent lol)

...oh, it's easy. I do it all of the time. I find that people can take a lot more than we suspect, especially when dealing in truth. The truth hurts for all of 15 minutes of melodramatic sensationalism, but then we grow from it.

Oh, I hope that you didn't read from that that I was uncomfortable with myself. I lUV ME! But I'm also VERY self-over-analytical, which means that I inner-critique myself a bit much...then convince myself 'so what'. But that's always AFTER I do me.

I think that I'll continue my self-assessment in random thoughts... :o

Lawson and I were talking to a friend the other day, and he was honestly surprised when we said we were the only person the other had ever been with, and didn't go around looking for hook ups.

I find the stereotype just as, if not more annoying then you. I really dislike it when other's actions reflect on something that I am not, and I suspect a lot of others here share that attitude :)

Meh, most of the fags I see around are the self-loathing types who go to absurd lengths to separate themselves from anything "gay." It's always the most fucked up, flawed queens who judge others the harshest. Butch or bitch, the attitude is the same. Best thing you can do is ignore it if it bothers you. When I go out, I usually ignore everyone but the people I'm with unless someone comes up to talk to us.

And I'm just as likely to end up with my shirt off in a straight club as a gay one. The only difference is what gender the person taking it off is :o

then its off to find their whore for the evening
but then hang out with me the next day and complain about how all guys are the same and no one wants a commitment :ugh:
um hi, stop having sex before you know their name lol

Oh... Well, I guess you could be right. Only, Brian wasn't very self-analytical. If Justin, or Michael, or Linds, or Debs didn't point it out to him, he just didn't see it. But yea, I guess I can see how I come across as Kinney-ish. Thanks, uhh, or not... (I'm not sure yet)

I got the nickname of Brian Kinney because I dated a 17 year old. And he looked like Justin + 20 pounds. :hs:

So I think the nickname was an insult?

See, I'm a mixed bag when it comes to Brian... I liked aspects of his personality (those that were similar to my own--the seemingly not caring what others thought, the being unapologetic, the having the balls to go after what he wanted, and the 'queer theory' to realize that we can create our own idea of normal). But at the same time, he just seemed 'too much'. That and the whole Justin thing...although I do not think that he was initially attracted to Justin because his age (which is different from 'youthful appearance'), I do feel that Justin first came to represent Brian's symbolic hold on his own fleeting youth, before finally representing 'real love' (only after Brian got over himself).
