i almost never run, and when i do, it's not for distance. usually sets of sprints.

right now since i dont have access to a weight room i'm just doing a daily circuit before i sleep, twice through. as time goes on i add to it.

    20 burpees
    20 squats
    15 pushups
    30 lunges
    75 shadow punches
    25 crunches
    25 leg lifts
    20 squats
    15 pushups
    30 crunches
    20 army scissors
    75 shadow punches
    15 incline pushups
    45 second plank
    25 crunches
    10 bridges
    60 twist situp

i'm also going ot bjj 2 times a week at the moment.

when at school i do judo 3 times a week, and will be joining the wrestling team this semester. pretty sure i'm gonna die.

but usually i do judo 3 nights a week, lift 2 or 3 nights a week (almost all compound exercises only), and jump on the erg for ~20 mins a week.

I got a friend of mine thats getting his bs in sports some shit so I got him to concoct me a work out routine to complement my training. So ive been doing weight training with kettle bells three times a week and now im working on my anerobic and aerobic conditioning. Im trying to get 2 days of running a week and 4 days of anerobic cirquits. Hope fully that will give me all the wind i need

I despise any kind of cardio for the sake of cardio workout, hence having coaches so they make me.

I like to roll continuously until I feel sick, that's usually my cardio.

if you have shin splints its because of several reasons. heavy weights can run look at line men they are huge and they run.

If your having problems with shin splints there is alot of shit that causes it. Improper running form, flat feet, running on concrete (which sucks by the way) or running to much when your first starting out.

Or bad shoes. My shin splints went away after I got good running shoes.

I love running. I stopped though because the impact was just too much on knees, shins, lower back, so now my cardio is treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, rowing machine, swimming.

Got to have the ipod when doing cardio or I get bored easily. Running outside was good in that I could change up where I was running to for a change of scenery, and do things like take note of a car or a bus and try to beat it through traffic. Cardio at the gym is boring as hell though.

yeah elyptical is great! alot of people dont use it because they either dont know much about it or because they think its some girl work out machine. Its a bad ass machine if you want to go longer then your run or you dont want to deal with the stress running puts on your body. Alot of personal trainers use it for heavier people 240 + because they dont have much running experience and they dont want to put that stress on their knees etc. I love elyptical training because you can watch tv while your doing the damn thing.

yeah thats true. you find out very quick that nikes are ass for running. The only shoes I would ever run in are new balances or assics. They are the only people that make a good running shoe now a days. I get new balance because they have a good support structure and I tend to heel grind after awhile

I concur I hate running, I would rather get my cardio in other ways. In a week Im having both knees operated on and wont be able to run for close to 6 months so I imagine over that time I will really miss just being able to do it.

The hardest cardio for me is intervals on the rower. i.e. 30-50 secs as fast as I can go, then down to 30rpm rest for 30-50secs, then balls to the wall again. I fucking hate/love these, but I also feel self-conscious how retarded I must look going slow for a while then suddenly spazzing out hardcore.

When i run at home I throw on a 20 lb vest and do a couple miles around my neighborhood with the ipod in.
When I run on the treadmill I throw my zune on the book shelf thing and watch old fights or skate videos or movies

The one i got goes up to 20lbs, or more i guess if you are resourceful.
Got it at Walmart for $50 i think. Only thing that sucks is it cant cinch tight enough for me so it shifts quite a bit when i run. More expensive ones wont do that.

It's actually the same one Wandy was using in his training on the all access :wiggle:

Yeah, it's in a Gold's Gym brand box. In the same section as all the exercise balls and bands and shit.

I have been so inactive lately my weight is down but body fat is way up. Had to take weight out of the vest for todays run on lunch.
