So, our printer at home went down this week. Now, this may not sounds like a big deal, but this is a $5000 Lexmark color laser network printer. And it would cost like almost $2000 to fix it and replace the toner. So, we figure we'll just go buy a good inkjet instead. OK, three trips to Best Buy: 1) Buy lexmark printer, get home, discover it doesn't work with macs and won't turn on 2) Exchange for HP printer, get home, discover the printer doesn't work 3) Exchange for the same HP printer, get home, get it running. So, now we're trying to set it up to run over the network with this stupid little box that is supposed to be a print server. Needless to say, it doesn't work (I lie, it works on my machine when I have it in NT, but not on either of my parents' macs or on my Linux side). I'm seriously ready to kill something.
