I make my shakes with water and usually do a Whey+Flaxseed Oil shake (45g pro/16g Fat) or Whey+Dextrose pwo shake (40g pro/55g carbs). It takes less than a minute to prepare and is very smooth....but i want to try something new now.

How do you prepare the shake that has oats in it? Do you just combine whey, dry oatmeal, milk, peanut butter, etc and then blend it? I thought you had to cook the oatmeal first :o:o:o. Just wondering what your recipes were and how you prepare it

    no cooking required.

    my usual shake is:
    8 oz milk
    3 strawberries
    1 banana
    1 tbsp pb
    1/2 cup oats
    2 scoops whey
    few ice cubes

    pretty decent

I always find that alot of them sink to the bottom of the bottle, so i just take a spoon and finish the last little bit off.

oh ya. in the cereal aisle.

they usually have a couple of versions, large flake, quick oats and minute oats. not much of a difference, the quicker cooking one's have just been cut up more i believe

    For sure.

I usually get the blender going with milk or water, throw in two cups of oats (at this point you can hear the motor slowing down, haha) then top it off with two scoops of whey and some banana usually. Get it up to full speed and blend it for a minute or two.

744 cal by my calculations, not including the strawberries. 1% milk.

    72g protein
    77g carb
    19g fat

I'll have two of these a day. Usually one in the morning with breakfast and one in the late afternoon.
