Noticed I didn't mention the Coast Guard, that is because I am already looking into that for when I hit 20 with the Army.

The AF EOD teams that roll out with us every once in a while don't even try to hide the fact that they are shitbags. They have a nice little gun turret on their vehicle that stays empty unless they are ordered to man it. And when they are told to man it, they have zero weapon discipline. They can't or won't keep their weapon pointed in their assigned sector, they can't or won't raise their weapon when we have to move a gun truck or route clearance vehicle past them.

We finally just told them that whenever they come out with us WE will provide them with a qualified gunner. We did that on the last mission they went with us on. Our gunner told us after the mission that everyone except the driver was either reading books or sleeping. They haven't come out with us since then.

EOD guys are strange..they are in CE with us but basically step children like our fire dept guys are though EOD well yea

plus man....we dont train with weapons like you guys do....

explain to me this though...we go to CST training by the army....when we arent training they cannot leave the bay they are staying in

they are basically stuck and have no outside life when there for a month

    why is that ok...thats stupid

We don't want them to get hurt walking around in the sub-standard conditions on the Army post? :hsughno:

Well Ill say this......KBR ran chow halls were nice in Bagram
Manas chow hall sucked, the contractor the AF had sucked balls
though I heard kahdahar has horrid food

Bagram looks like shit for being there 6 years...Army slacks on building a base. Looks like we been there 2 years vs the 6 we have

We're kind of busy outside the wire. I know that if we were Air Force, we'd have built our barracks and squadron snack bars within the first few weeks of occupying the base, but here in the Army we tend to focus more resources outside the wire than within. :hsugh:

There are like 10,000 army people there....most of them arent going outside the wire and dude KBR runs that base...its all contractor

you act like the AF is the ones building up the entire base

at first sure we are the ones doing the beddown layout and building up tents but every squadron puts up thier own and we being CE shows them how

    this is bare base

after that really all you need is a good fund site, good ce squadron (well ok good engineering section) and a good contracting office

sorry but I couldnt stand to live in a wood shack for 15 months over there.....maybe thats good for yall

but then again...AF quality of life means nothing

plus most snack bars and shit are built after duty on our time broly

AF has more "after duty" time than Army ever thought about having. :hsugh:

not always...ive worked my fair share of weeks with no days off doing 16 hours a day

funny though since everytime they had poker when I was deployed the army was always there in full force since the Army couldnt even put anything on for them yet the AF could and welcomed them

also funny that during the day games they were there and they worked day shifts...then at the night ones they were there

a few even came to our new years party

Fobbits operate under their own separate set of ethics. They have no problem doing what the AF does while wearing Army uniforms.
