So i bought some cactus V2s triggers and a Lumopro 120 flash from mpex to supplement my SB800 on the cheap, well the fucking lumopro will only fire like every 5th or 6th try  this goes for on the camera, pushing the button, using the trigger, anything. I would hope for $120 that a flash would at least fire every time but I guess not.

I'm seriously thinking of just buying and SB900 instead since that fucker will zoom to 200mm

wtf. You can get a used SB-80dx or SB-600 for 130-150, that's how much I got mine for. Get your money back and look at Adorama/B&H's used dept.

i think the complaint is that they aren't a consistent color of light throughout the power levels.

I'm actually hearing it's not just power levels, but even shot to shot:dunno: No real esperience with the AB, most of the people I shoot with have photogenic or elincrhom
    SB600 is only 200:dunno:. It's just a speedlight. :dunno:

Yeah... i'm VERY low budget. i can occasionally drop 200 bucks, but thats only once every few months. hell, i wait months just to pick up a video game. Big purchases wait until i get my tax returns, which is usually in January, and after i've taken care of any bills i've fallen behind on.
