I really loved this video http://www.dvorak.org/blog/?p=18073. But I wanted to see it in higher quality as it is such great footage. So I made my own from a high definition source :naughty:

I didn't in anyway copy this exactly; I just took the same idea and made my own using the flight sequences from the film Les Chevaliers du Ciel. I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

I have uploaded a compressed version, but I think it still looks great.

If you wanna see it, here is the link. https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/29773/Flight.wmv It's 633mb.

It's on youtube if you don't want to download > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOAHyi9LZWw

Let me know what you think :bigthumb:

You should make a torrent of the high-def one.

Or split it with WinRAR and put it in multiple drop boxes.

I can do a torrent. Currently the hi def format I encoded to is only playable with vlc media player.

I'll have another go at exporting to hi def in a better format.

These look slightly blurred/soft because I've obviously frozen a 25fps video of very fast objects. The video is sharp as sharp can be :)

Just downloaded it. Very nice editing. The end is kind of abrupt though.

I'm just converting the uncompressed .m2t file to .avi now with 100% quality.

The file size will be reduced from 2.6gb to around 1gb. I set the minimum bit rate too high when I first exported the video to .m2t.
