Congratulations. Being an old geezer, I'm not sure what the current fashionable slang is. I can tell you this, that people make fast and sometimes ill-informed judgments about others based on how they speak. If you talk like you think gangsters talk, don't be surprise when society treats you like a gangster. If you want opportunities to become materially successful, and enjoy the perks of advancement, then model your image on those whose footsteps you want to follow. Good standard English, coupled with a large vocabulary should be in every ambitious young person's tool kit.

Enjoy your youth. Explore the world (and don't forget to explore your neighborhood too). Don't waste your time or your life on selfish people. Start RIGHT NOW on your retirement fund. Treat it like the significant portion of your life that it will become. Study to be as good at losing as you are at winning. Expect great things of yourself. Don't save every damsel in distress you find. Some of them have used up more than their fair share of prince charmings.

been busting my ass with construction, gonna chill till I leave for basic, and ranger I've been told about the retirement deal already. I was gonna go to temple university but decided to do an instate school for my first year or two then transfer so I can put the first 50% of my bonus away and never have to touch it.

This is what I learned about high school:

    1. anything that happened in HS. Forget it.
    2. Anything you probably learned you will NEVER use again. besides the basics.
    3. The only thing you probably learned is social skills.
    4. Thats good.
    5. It's fun watching other kids you graduate fail at life with a side of aids. Don't be that guy.
    6. Girls never change.

(I graduated last year :) ) So my idea of what happens after hs is limited.

you'll find yourself in the army. Have fun at osut, you'll never laugh so hard.

Oh one big thing, be prepared to meet some true idiots. They make you feel alot smarter in this world.

Enjoy college. A degree is required for anything you want to do from this point forward.

    Congrats.

Over the next few years you will actually see who goes places and who just stays around doing nothing.
