Okay, after shooting a USPc .40 at my range tonight I am in love. I LOVE the location of the decocker, beats the hell out of the location of the decocker on Sig's.

I want to buy an HK, but i'm not sure if I should get a P2000 or USPc.

Can someone here please explain the differences between the P2000 and USPc, and also where can I find a list of what all the different "varients" mean?

    Thanks

So the V1 and V3 are identical, except the V3 has no safety?

LEM is standard on the P2k, and an option on the USPc - good luck finding one though. Personally I went with the USP over the P2k because it was offered in .45.

There are a lot of websites for Glocks, Glock accessories, etc. like TopGlock, etc............. are there any places like that for HK?

the P2K is snappy as fuck. Also, it's pretty small, so it's hard to grip it.

i'm pretty sure the P2K is just a bit smaller. Also, the ambi slide release. Gotta keep your thumb off it. :noes:

if I remember correctly, it's thinner than the USPc, but because of the ambi slide release, the specs SAY it's the same width. It's not really, but at it's widest point (the ambi slide release) it's the same width as the USPc.

Get the P7M8 instead, slimmer and nicer trigger.

Some guy was shooting the p2K (rented) at the range the last time I went, he didn't have very many good things to say about it.

whats with all the hate for the p2k?

i got mine (9mm V3 DA/SA) a few months back, and ive put over 6000 rounds through it, not one single problem with it. i couldnt be happier with my p2k, the shape of the grip is much better on the p2000, and you have the option of different sized backstraps.

but it doesnt matter what we say, go try both out and see which one fits you best and you shoot best with, then youll be able to make your decision with confidence.

goodluck and you wont be disappointed with either one.
