never thought I would see the day
congrats. welcome to the club.
My condolences ....
Its not so bad now is it?
not at all actually...I thought I would be a lot more freaked out about it but not at all
plus being married mil to mil = when it comes to benefits
welcome to hell.
spur of the moment or planned?
we had planned on doing it sometime in march but i took leave to go see her and we decided there was really no point in waiting..so i guess spur of the moment but we had been talking about it for awhile so
Congrats, we hit the 10 year mark this past year.
I just got married back in december mil to mil
we're still waiting on joint spouse to go through though
Get use to the separation man, at one time the wife and I were apart for 21 months.
what branch?..we're air force and were told I can either switch to air and go to her at offut...she can switch to ground and come out here or we can both stay our current afsc and go to england
not sure what we're gonna do yet....both linguists btw
we're both air force, different afsc's though, she's in oklahoma and I'm in belgium, I'm in a controlled tour though so the only option is for her to come here
I'm going to crosstrain when I can though, 3C0 ftl, it's so mind numbingly boring, I hate having nothing to do
if so, good luck getting beyond three years of marriage. It will take work.
Nah, they met at perm party, and they are both really good people.
we did meet in tech school but its not like i had a 2 week tech school...if you dont know in 2 years enough about someone to marry them i dont think you ever will
you think it takes 2 years to get to know someone?
oh yeah, techschool sweethearts
nevermind found that answer... Yah as far as BAH goes you can pull in some bank.
I'm just saying odds are slim. If you can make it, more power to you brother!
you don't want Offutt. especially if you ever want to PCS. I know two people that got to leave for awhile. one is spending a year in Korea and the other one got to spend some time in Columbia. besides hot as hell summers and cold as fuck winters suck ass. thunderstorms, tornadoes, blizzards, and ice storms = shitty. the only thing weather wise you won't ever see a warning for is a hurricane. the chances of an earthquake are also pretty much nonexistent too.
but flight pay might make it worth it for you. the only things that might be perks are if you like college football or if you are a big college baseball fan. football's sucked but watching Ball State almost beat the Huskers was surprisingly entertaining.
She must of had fun testing the playfield
