Haven't posted in a while... in fact haven't trained in a little while either, but I thought you guys might enjoy this. Nothing like a good first day back at the gym after having the flu for a week. Especially when you're a 145 pounder in the cage "play" sparring with Sean Gannon. He was just screwing around throwing real lightly and kept urging me to take a shot saying he needs to work on take down defense. Well being that I was sick of getting hit and I can barely reach is head even if I jump, I stupidly obliged. I shoot for an outside single and he full on sprawls as hard as he can. My legs do a full split underneath him (and I am not that flexible) and my head slammed into the mat by somewhere on his big stomach. After that and getting thrown literally across the entire length of the cage for a couple rounds I had to call it a day. Sean Gannon... great funny guy, terrifying to be in the cage with. I'll try getting some of my freak show david vs goliath sparring matches on tape or at least get some pictures for all of you next time.
