I have an old HD on my system. It's capacity is 55gigs (that's what windows shows). It's showing 13.9 gigs used when there are only 900megs of data on the drive. Iv'e looked in dos to see if anything would show up with no luck. I also changed the view files option in windows to see if there were any hidden files. No luck. Note: I think windows was installed on this drive at one point. I deleted as much stuff off of the drive as I could.

I tried running chkdsk but it gave me an error and asked if I wanted to run it on bootup. Which I said no too.

    Any suggestions?

Figured it out. I used TreeSize and found that the recycle bin was still on the drive with 11 gigs of stuff in it. Deleted that and got my 11 gigs back.

    Thanks for the response.
