So my friend and I were originally going to this BBQ place in Belton today that i've never been to, but when we got there it was closed. So I say, "We're already out here, you wanna go to Academy?" He agrees to go and looky what i found.

Didn't go there with intentions of getting anything, but I couldn't resist. Payed $189 + Tax and also got a box of 525 'golden bullet value pack' remington hollow point for like $15.

can't wait till I actually get this project going!

here's another shot showing the finish

First place I look for 10/22s around here are pawn shops. Thank god for casinos because it means a cornucopia of people pawning shit off to pay for gambling habits. I can usually find 1-2 in every shop that takes guns.

depends on the shop. The 3 I've bought locally were 45-60 bucks.
the 45 dollar one was the one Sssnake basically stripped down to the receiver, sold everything else and built the target gun up from.
Which if you think about it, buying just a new receiver is more than 45 bucks :big grin:

LOL, im broke, so im gonna see how it is before i go and start modding it, but thats the plan. was thinking about a spiral fluted black bull barrel with a threaded end for a compensator/suppressor. forget who makes it, but the website i saw it at today was taking preorders for it, so im guessin its brand new. then ill either get the Hogue rubber stock or the one i posted in my other 10/22 thread (mods merge the two if needed) and then the normal internal mods/extended mag release. i think the very first thing i get for it will be the buffer and mag release.

Having a nicer barrel makes a huge difference. Took me from 2" to 1/2" at 50 yards. After all that other stuff took me from 1/2" to 1/4". :coold:
