but I know if I don't buy it it'll go up in price. I buy more ammo than guns now.
I really dont even pay attention to ammo prices anymore.
I actually haven't bought any ammo in a long time. The last time I took count, I came in at just over 9k rounds with 7k of it being 5.56
Jesus Christ. I have like 5 boxes of ammo. TOTAL.
I've got about 6k total, but getting low on 9mm and .45
You guys count ammo?
ive got like 14 .380rounds and 120 of .223
I actually keep a spreadsheet. It's the accountant-side of me...
lol, not really. I just know when I get really low.
I'm somewhere 10-15k???? I reload 1-2 times a month anywhere from 2-5k rounds a session depends on how I feel or if I can keep my wife off my back.
i have a 30-cal ammo can about 90% full of .223
you do the math
If I had a reloading setup, I would do the same and not worry about #s.
and the same amount for 9mm
Ya, I have buddies that actually do that too. The guy I bought my last pistol from had "exact" round count and when and where, etc. lol
I actually made a feeble attempt at it. I have a reloading "log" book. But I gave up after I kept putting off how much I reloaded. I just use it to journal my load data now and to keep score of "cricket" with my dart board when I have friends over. lol
I have about 3700 .223/5.56 but I want more everyday.
I do, I want to make sure none of disappears that I didn't shoot. Me = paranoid.
I have a few hundred .223, about 500 .45 and 20 or so BMG.
I figure if I need 30,000 rounds of ammo, I've got a problem that 30,000 rounds of ammo isn't going to solve.
Well I jsut bought a could large boxes of 12ga shells and then another 500 rnds of 9mm
Now that I'm finishing my AR build, I need to start stocking up on 5.56 Yeah I could plink with .223, but ... ah... I want the 5.56 for bragging rights.
it's not that I need that much to "solve problems". I shoot competitively in a few disciplines. Some of us have managed to find other uses for our guns outside of just self defense.
Well the spreadsheet part, not the accountant.
I've been a little lazy updating my spreadsheet lately. Do you also separate each caliber into brand/type? I don't get that detailed with mine, but I've seen it done.
I know competitive shooters pour through ammo. I meant the people that have stockpiled ammo for when "they" come to get "us".
Sounds like you need more.
That should be easy to count and put into spreadsheet form.
I keep buying a case of surplus 5.45 every few weeks cause I know its going to dry up eventually.
On the upside I've only shot about a case of 5.45 since the end of summer and have bought several cases in addition to the several I already had.
