I get a ccApp on shutdown on my laptop

    i looked it up on the internet and found out it was due to a Norton Antivirus. but i still do not kno how to fix it. i keep having to "end" program whenever i shutdown. so how do i stop the message from coming up everytime i do a shutdown?

    get rid of norton i have seen it do that on allmost every PC its installed on.

    Get rid of that shit before it does something worse like keeping Windows from booting.

    That's the only one that's worse than Norton. Its so bad, AOL is giving it away.

    DON'T get rid of Norton. Here's why it's popping up with that End Task window:

    Norton Antivirus is refusing to be terminated by the system until all other 3rd-party processes have been terminated first. That way it can protect you against a virus that might attack your system when you shut down your computer. If Norton Antivirus were to terminate like a good little process, then its ability to protect your computer against a shutdown virus would be seriously compromised.

    Keep using Norton, I've never seen it eff up a computer except when the user tried to fight with it. Norton is a great product; I refuse to support any computer without it, it's just too much hassle.

    Then you haven't seen many computers. You sound like you work for Symantec.
