seems like thats how this industry is. ever checked out gunbroker? ROFL. Youd think that an auction site would get you good deals like ebay, but its complete opposite.

Gunbroker is a joke most guns are more then retail then you have to pay shipping, tranfer, credit card fee

The last gun show I was at it looked like they bought some CMP rifles, thompson water sealed the stocks, and were asking $800 for them.

I've found some good deals on Gunbroker, at least in comparison to local shops, but there are some sellers on there that consistently list every auction over MSRP, and the items don't sell. I really don't understand how they can think this is a logical way to sell things. :hsugh:

CMP should put a tighter limit on how many you can order, 2-3 of each type of rifle they're selling. It is the Civilian Marksmenship program not the help shop owners rip people off program.

I was there and looking at prices on some guy's laquered up M1 Garand and he had them laying at an angle on their slide... It tipped over a little and lightly tapped another one. The big fat guy at the table is like, "Be carefull there, I want to be able to sell these for good money" and I looked at the sticker and saw $1000 and responded with, "You're not going to get $1k for a serial number that high" and walked away.

I've started to hate gun shows... I'm just going to go from now on to look around and play with stuff...

I asked one guy if he had any factory 20 round mags for a Ruger Mini-14 and he's like, "Yeah, but not out on the table." and I was like, "How much?" and he laughed and said, "They're $100 each" And the night before I just ordered three online for $35 each... :hsugh:

:ugh: I got banned from ar15.com because I told some guy his price was too high. 650 for a gun he admitted was just a cleaned up rack grade is ridiculous.

Not a lot of gun owners go on the internet. From what I've seen at the local shops that I've been to they all take advantage of their ignorance and try to rape their customers. I stopped trying to make a big deal out of their prices because they're not going to change them and they take offense when you try to tell them that it should be cheaper. I'm at the point now where I don't even want to walk into a gun store. At least when I go into a pawn shop I can get a decent price. The problem there is it's hard to find what you're looking for.

I saw several RRA tactical entry ARs at the last gunshow for $750 each. If I get an AR that'll probably be it.

Thanks to Verm I have been banned from just about every gunshow in the area. He has a habit of loudly telling booth owners how full of shit they are when they are trying to rob people with crap. :wtc:
