Ok here's what happened. I just got a PS3 and I heard that you have to format your external harddrive to FAT32 in order for the PS3 to read it. I've read people recommending using "Partition Magic" to format it into Fat32 from NTFS. I have a butt load of HD movies already in the harddrive and I didnt want to lose it. Other people said that I can format it into fat32 without losing the files. I didnt know exactly how to do it. So I tried creating a new partition in the harddrive....but while it was trying to create a new fat32 partition, Partition magic crashed! So I opened up Partition Magic again, and now it's not reading the harddrive right. the name of my harddrive used to be "Mybook" but now it has random characters on it, and also it says that all of the space inside of it is being used, when Im suppose to have 80gb more free space. I go to "My Computer" and the harddrive isnt showing up on there! I tried unplugging the harddrive and replugging it, but my computer still isnt reading it, it's not showing up at all. But when I open up partition magic, it shows on there but with a random name on it. wtf man?! can someone help me out here?
