I was at the small (25 yard :hs: ) local range with the M44 and my .22. One of the guys next to me had a beautiful, striking old Colt 1911 with a perfect patina. Anyway, they shove out this target of Osama ( ) and instead of boom...boom...boom...I hear boomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboom.

Grease gun FTW, I didn't get close enough to see if it was real or a copy, but it looked fun. Worthless for anything except room and trench clearing, but fun :o

What, exactly, is your basis for this opinion? The M3 is extremely controllable, fires a man-sized round at a slow enough pace that singles are easily doable, and comes with a bunch of bullets.

And I guess you would be with an MP5...subguns aren't made for distance, they are CQB (CLOSE quarters battle) weapons. 100yd guns should be rifle caliber.

had to be rewelds or tube guns. Fully transferrable M3s are bringng at least 19k-25k. If it wasnt, you should have bought it.

A tube gun is a gun that was made from a registered "tube" receiver and put together from parts kits. They're "tube guns" because all these guns MP-38, MP-40, Stens, M3s, etc receivers are basically metal tubes and probably termed by collectors to easily talk about and price etc.

A true MP-40 will bring anywhere from 20k-30k, while a "tube" MP-40 will bring 8k-12k. Only difference being is one gun being made in WW2 by the Germans. And a tube gun being made before 1986 by Wilson, Charles Erb, etc. All are full auto, all are identical, just have different prices because a lot of these guns are based on a collector market.

    "Real" MP-40:

    A MP-40 Tube Gun:

    Or a $9k M3 could have been a Pre-Sample.
