So i've always been a fan, done a day or two here but I'm finally steadily doing boxing and it's ridiculously fun. Frustrating picking up some of the combinations and getting my ass beat when im sparring but the moment im away from it I can't wait till i'm back at it.

im doing just boxing now but prob gonna get into some kicking/ground game.

    /rant to you wierdos

you get to spar already? wow

just listen and do as they say, some of the exercises and techniques coaches tell u seem :ugh: but then later you're like "wow, now i know why they taught me that"

i didn't get to spar until at least 6-8 months in.

good shit, takes a certain type of person to step inside a ring:bigthumb:

I just started 3 weeks ago and it is great. It can be very frustrating (I suck at throwing an uppercut) but I try to keep myself motivated.

3 weeks, you'll suck at everything since you won't be that good at your stance and footwork

Yeah I never knew how challenging footwork was until I started. My stance has been improving and I am pretty good at keeping my chin tucked and hands up. I can't wait to get my ass beat when I eventually spar haha.

yeah i was told id be a while till i would have to come in any nights to spar, but then i got invited to come in the next day.
i get frustrated because it seems like the more i punch the more i set myself up for a hit

I loved that about boxing. I spent 2 months doing super slow motion shadow boxing and by the 3rd week i was like "wtf is this gay shit, i wanna learn something new." But thats how you learn the intricacies of it and how tiny adjustments can make a huge difference in punching efficiency and power. Huge difference betwen throwing punches and boxing.
