    i have to say that it exceeded my expectations (it was the R/T model with the 5.7 Hemi), when your siting in it, it feels bulky like a large luxary sedan. but when you drive it the way the suspention is set up it corners nice sports car like. granted it is a large and hevay car, it still has plenty of pep, and actcully moves pretty good. i was driving it and the sales men said "go ahead and open'er up alil".. so i stepped on it at about 25mph its no corvette but still impressive. the 5.7 hemi that the R/T comes with has the muti dispacement on demand feature that the 6.1 also has, the window said 17 city 25 highway.. witch its pretty good for a V8. also on that i thought it was throttle pressure sensitive but i guess when your driving for 8 mins at the same low RPM it shuts off 4 cyclnders.

    id have to say that the only 2 things i didnt like about it was that, i still, no matter what feel that it is 2 doors too many, but thats just becasue i own a '67 charger and i am a charger fanboy. also the price kinda shocked me.. base price $29k but some how the asking price got to $47,000..:eek3: .. for the R/T i asked about the SRT-8 and he said to expect them to be about $50k with a $10k markup.. 60k:eek3: .. but i guess for the performance it fits with the CTS-V and the M5.

    all and all id consider buying one if i had a wife and kid, and if i could get a R/T for closer to $40k. but since its just me and the price isnt budging... ill keep my '67

    Obviously the price is marked up by the dealership you were at.

    I saw one R/T in person last weekend and the MSRP was $33k, basically new GTO money. I didn't get to drive it because it was swarmed by people and they were letting everyone take it for a spin.

    If it was 2 door then it would be hot. The 4 door makes it warm

    While I didnt get to drive one I did get to sit in one and look it over today while my Stang was at Ford for service. Very impressed by the car, the leather is butter-soft, the interior doesnt feel el-cheapo-dodge, and the front end looks much better in person.

    If I had 35k (fully loaded price, no mark up), or the ability to pay it off in 5 years, one would probably be in my driveway right now.

    And the battery is in the trunk!

    That quote of 60 k is a bit off i think. It is a great looking car overall with a lot of power per price. I'm pretty jealous that you got to sit in one IT_1967, i'll have to give one a whirl myself at somepoint vbmenu_register("postmenu_36151194", true);
