My computer is giving me some problems, the other day I tried to start it up and it wouldnt load windows at all. I entered the bios setup and took a look around and reliazed that none of my hardware was being recognized. I made a boot disk so I could reinstall windows but for some reason my cd drive wont open up. The only thing my computer recogonizes is the floppy drive. Does anyone have any idea on what I should do????

When the computer tries to boot does it say "Operating system not found." or does it get part way through the Windows setup then locks up?

If your CD drive isn't working nor are your hard drives then maybe it is a motherboard issue.

No It says insert system disk...so I made a boot disk.....and It only allows me to be on a: when I try to go to d: or c: or anything it wont work...In my bios setup all my primary drives and slave drives are under auto...I tried to change them but there wasent anything else to choose from....

You tried checking the cables? They could possibly not be in properly.
