    good news for you broham!
    wait until august
apple might throw in a free ipod for ya!
usually in august or september, apple throws in a item for free (after mail in rebate)
last year they gave out a free ipod. just pay for tax and you get your money after rebate

    back on subject.
    go to
STORE, look at bottom right hand of the page
    http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore/
    it says EDUCATION DISCOUNT
    FIND YOUR SCHOOL
and it should take you to a special store for students
let me know if any problems looking for it

i've never owned a mac. just because PC's have more compatible software, right click. But since now you can boot XP in Macs, i'm leaning towards them now :hs: hopefully the macbook wont run slow when i install XP in it

honestly id suggest to buy it with stock memory and upgrade it yourself. Its a very easy upgrade, if you can take out ur battery you're golden. I think mac charges something like $600 for 2gigs of ram, while I just bought 2 gigs for $250 and people have told me i could get it for even cheaper.

As for running auto Cad on MB i honestly cant say, i really dont know much about macs. Im sure that with 1+gb of ram it could handle it, but the whole intel thing is screwey. See what someone else says about that.
