    :sad2:

I've been kicking ass (losing fat, gaining muscle) for the last two months.

Now for the last week or so I just have no desire to be at the gym. I force myself to go, thinking once I get there I'll feel better, but I lift half-heartedly and can't force myself to do more than ten minutes of cardio before I just want to run screaming out of the place.

It's so fucked up and need some advice....:sad2:

See, I was like that earlier in the day, counting down till 2:00 (when I'm off work) and then at like 2:15 when I'm leaving the house it just hits me.

I think I'm gonna take tomorrow and the weekend off completely and just see if that helps me for monday. :hs:

It's ok you take a few days off. If you feel you need to, just do it. It's good for your body anyway - if you've been working your ass off the last 2 months.

on a serious note, this happens to me throughout the day too. Sometimes I can't stop thinking about when I get to go to train, and then I'll get pangs of "fuck that i don't want to do it"...but i always drag myself in and once i get going i'm revved up

Like I said - a training partner means someone who will make sure you're not wasting their time (so you always show up and stay for the workout) and can also get you motivated and competitive.

I agree. Sometimes you don't feel like going and you just go anyway, but you have to have many tricks to keep yourself motivated & interested.

I really wouldn't mind a training partner, but just moved to a new area, don't know anybody, and I'm very shy/non-communicative at the gym (and most other places)

    Probably need to change that

You need to create a routine, something that you might hate but get used too. There will be days when you are like fuck I dont want to go, but you just have too. Once you get there you'll be fine.

I'm like that with cardio. Getting there and lifting is the easy part, doing the cardio is the part I hate.

Change up your routine a little bit. Maybe do shit your normally wouldn't think of doing. Shit, when I train our coach comes up with things which are just plain evil, example: To work on our pulls in the snatch and to focus on making complete pulls, we will get some rubber mats so we are elevated about 3 inches off the ground while the bar remains at normal height relative to the ground (like this -|====|-). It keeps training interesting and provides new challenges. Doing the same lifts every M,W,F, Sa, is going to make anyone dread working out.

    Overtraining?

If you've been going all out for 2 months and having rapid progress, you might find it beneficial to take a break.

have a week off, then go back with the same determination!

Choose a song that really pumps you up. Then jerk off to it thinking of some bitch that broke your heart. Try to bust your nut at your favorite part of the song (repeat the song if you have to). Or, pause the song right at your favorite part and when you're gonna blow your load press play. At that moment you feel like you can build a skyscraper by yourself or fight a pride of lions barehanded. Instead, redirect that to wanting to work out. Hopefully you're already dressed to go to the gym so you can just run to your car and get there. You'll thank me when your Mr. Olympia. :)

This is what I've decided to do....

I've gone from 305 to 260 in about two and a half months and I think I'm just burnt. Gonna do fuck-all till Monday and then hit back with a vengeance (that sounds like a bad action movie plot :o )

time away from the gym always pisses me off enough that I either go back to the gym and eat the weights, or start breaking people in half over my knee at work, traffic, public...whatever.

whenever i get down in the dumps, i go back to basics and switch to a full body routine. it reminds me of all my noob gains and how excited i was when i first got into lifting

Take some martial arts, do barbell complexes, do 10-2minute rounds on the heavy bag, jump rope.
