I can barely walk today. Sitting down and getting out of a chair is near impossible .

I did not know exactly how weak my quads/hams were until last night:

    Squats: 100lbs, 4 sets, 8 reps
Leg presses: whatever it weighs without weights, 3 sets, 8 reps (my legs were dead after squats).

Now as if this makes any sense, I can do 4 sets/15 reps of the standing calve raises on a weight of 450lbs. Sitting down I can do 4 sets/15 reps of 4x45. I don't think that's normal.

I sure hope it's not worse 2 days after...if it gets any worse than this, I will have to move around in a wheelchair.

What is a DOM? I just started working out two weeks ago. My bench is around 115-125. I'm not going to be one of the people you described. I want a solid foundation to my body, especially because I want to increase my vertical and what not.

And I'm serious about the second day thing. Especially with legs, the day after aint shit, it's the 2nd day. That's why I do legs on Friday, so I can die in peace on Sunday. :) Like seriously, you're gonna be hurting fucking bad tomorrow if your sore today. Let us know how it goes.

Sounds like you had a good workout. Next time you do legs throw in some hack squats, leg extensions, hamstring curls then your legs will really hurt.

Always do legs at the start of the week so you can walk normal on the weekend

I'm in the same boat man. I did squats, leg extensions and hamstring curls today. I'll be in the suck at work tomorrow.

As of right now (24 hours later), my legs are still sore, but they are actually feeling a bit better. I really hope I don't get the 2nd day soreness you guys are talking about.

I was actually going to do leg extensions and hamstring curls, but after having problems walking after leg presses, I decide it might be better to take it easy and call it a day. What are hack squats?

BTW, working out fucking rocks. I feel so much better after I workout and now that I have a workout buddy (even if it is my girlfriend :mamoru: ), I want to go more often.

Go for a walk, go run some, do some elliptical, whatever; it'll help with the soreness. Other than that, just be glad! I actually like being sore when it happens :o

My leg days as of late are as follows

    Hip abduction inner and outter
    Calf raises
    squats
    extensions front and back
    Calf extensions (I think?)
    leg press

I do all of them 4 sets, but usually do the leg presses in place of thesquats in order. Ive only recently added squats to the list, and godamm did doing them ever wake up some new muscles. I did legs Friday, and Im hurting today :hs: But it's like a nice pain, I dunno, I'm sure a lot of you know what I mean. Like when you move your legs it feels like a niiiiice heated stretch.

I definitely could have done a little more weight, but being my first time doing squats EVER, I thought I'd take it easy so I didn't injure myself :).
