I've been reading about it and the physiology of it all got me really curious. I decided to try it out for a couple weeks just to see how my body reacts to it since I've never done any kind of carb-limiting diet. The main thing I'm curious about is carbohydrate consumption. Lyle says in his booklet (Guide to Rapid Fat Loss) that it's okay to eat as many veggies as you want (aside from carrots, peas, and corn.) Is this just because of a lot of the carbohydrates in green, leafy vegies are indigestible fiber? And since he made no mention of it, are potatoes okay? (are they fibrous vs. starchy?) What about yams/sweet potatoes? Exactly how many carbohydrates should I limit myself to? My second concern is sodium intake. Lyle says it's actually a good idea to supplement sodium intake to help restore electrolytes and such. This is strange to me since most diets limit sodium intake... So how much sodium is too much? Any other information you feel like sharing, please do.
